Toy Fair 2009 starts today!!
Luckily, ASM will be covering playline Barbie® dolls again this year, so we'll get to see pictures of the new line soon!
(If you appreciate ASM covering Barbie dolls, you might want to email them and let them know!)
I'm going to attempt to write the usual excessive dissertations, but since it's easier to make updates now, I'm going to put them up in chunks. The chunks will be listed on this page as I add them. (Automatically. PHP is great. )
Here are the bits I've written so far:
- Barbie®'s New Head is...Her Old Head
- Barbie®'s old 1998 "Generation Girl™" head returns in the playline.
- Toy Fair 2009!!
- Toy Fair 2009 starts today! This page collects all the entries posted about it.
- Barbie®'s New Head (Or Heads)
- Rounding up information about the new new closed-mouth head sculpt that was supposed to debut on Bathing Suit Barbie® but didn't. Plus, is Barbie getting a new open-mouth head, too?
- Barbie® Turns 50, Has Identity Crisis
- Signs point to Barbie getting yet another "makeover" for her 50th birthday, but catalog photos of upcoming dolls confuse the issue by showing Barbie® with at least three different head sculpts - one of which appears to be new.
- More Toy Fair 2009 Stuff - Pics of Barbie®'s New Head!
- Really good pictures of what appears to be a new open-mouth head sculpt for Barbie® (and possibly a new look for Summer® as well)!
- Barbie®'s New Head - Again
- More catalog photos showing Barbie®'s new open-mouth head sculpt.
- Who Is Quintessential Barbie®?
- Who is the mysterious "Quintessential Barbie®" doll shown in promo pictures?
- Toy Fair 2009: Part One
- Barbie® and the Three Musketeers and a little bit about Barbie's head.
- Toy Fair 2009: Part Two
- Barbie® Styled by Me™ goes online, "Barbie" is officially a noun, the Bye Bye Bad Hair™ Detangler Kit in action (I guess), FAB Girl™ Barbie, the I Can Be™... line, some box variation shenanigans, and a little more about Barbie's head(s).
- Toy Fair 2009: Part Three
- Skipper® and Stacie® return, Kelly® is still a gorilla, the Glamour Camper™ and the "glamping" dolls, some mysterious closed-face boxes that are exactly the right size to hold dolls, some more unidentified stuff, and even more about Barbie®'s head.
